ANUÁRIO JANUS
JANUS 2024-2025 – WARS: THE MEDIATIC AND THE FORGOTTEN
The JANUS Yearbook was first published in 1996-97 by OBSERVARE – the Foreign Relations Observatory of the Autonomous University of Lisbon. It takes a holistic approach to international relations, from government foreign policy to the community of nations and interactions between societies, covering various fields such as politics, diplomacy, strategy, the environment, economics, technology and culture, with a particular focus on the most current social dynamics and phenomena.
As usual, the Yearbook has two sections: a general section on the international situation, featuring articles on relevant current dynamics and phenomena; and a specific section on a theme in the form of a dossier, which in this edition is dedicated to media wars and “forgotten” wars, including articles on violent conflict, with a focus on case studies.
Starting with the 2024-25 edition, Clube de Lisboa joins OBSERVARE as co-editor of the JANUS Yearbook. The complete edition is published in digital and printed formats at the end of the year, although articles are made available online as they are submitted, so as not to lose their relevance.
