The pandemic has not only caused a health crisis, but also has implications for societies, economies and international solidarity.
The 2nd Conference on State Fragility discussed the implications of the pandemic in fragile countries and analysed how national efforts should be combined with effective international cooperation for a successful fight against COVID-19, as well as for rapid vaccination of the world’s population, with particular emphasis on the most vulnerable, poor and conflict-affected countries. The conference helped to identify challenges in responding to today’s multiple crises, share experiences and mobilise support for promoting and strengthening international solidarity and cooperation.
