A WORLD IN UNCERTAINTY: RESHAPING THE GLOBAL ORDER
The international system is undergoing profound geopolitical, economic, technological, demographic and environmental transformations. Together, these forces are reshaping the global order, creating new opportunities while also generating uncertainty, fragmentation and strategic competition.
On 8 and 9 October 2026, at the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation, the 7th Lisbon Conference aims not only to examine these transformations but also to consider their long-term implications, incorporating the perspectives of younger generations, whose lives will be shaped by today’s decisions and whose choices will, in turn, shape the world of tomorrow.

About Lisbon Conferences
The Lisbon Conferences were launched in 2014 through the joint initiative of seven public and private Portuguese institutions. Established as a biennial forum to debate major international issues and some of the defining global challenges of our time, responsibility for their organisation was entrusted to the Clube de Lisboa following its creation in December 2016. They have since become the Clube’s flagship event. Speakers participate in the panels in a personal capacity, and the proceedings are recorded, broadcast and subsequently published in bilingual volumes (Portuguese and English), available both online and in print.
The 7th Lisbon Conference marks the 10th anniversary of the Clube de Lisboa.
